Two Injured in a Roll Over Crash in Lakeside

California Highway Patrol and Heartland Fire responded to a crash in Lakeside Sunday evening. The accident occurred at 6:34 p.m. near Riverford Road. According to the CHP, a honda Civic and a pickup truck were southbound on Route 67 when they collided in a rear-end accident. The Civic spun and rolled off state route 67 and landed on its side. Rescue crews were able to extract two people from the wreckage of the Civic. Both were transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital. Officials at the scene said their injuries were not considered life-threatening. The passengers in the pick up truck did not experience injuries.
