Five Injured in Imperial County Collision

The Imperial Valley Press reported that five people were hospitalized on the evening of July 4th after a car collided with a semi-truck in North Imperial.

The accident occurred around 9:30pm on Wednesday evening, at the intersection of Highway 86 and Ralph Road. According to Imperial County Fire Capt. Danny Stauf, a four-door sedan collided with a flatbed truck. Two of the five individuals inside the car were airlifted to Desert regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, while the other three were transferred by ambulance to El Centro regional Medical Center and Pioneers Memorial Hospital.
